The wifi is likely missing the firmware, try a linux livecd and copy it off to a usb stick: the firmware usually lives in /lib/firmware

As to the touchscreen, do you also have the pen?

The Fujitsu T7x0s are very similar hardware wise to your X220... If you have the Wacom pen.
Ā I'm running an X200 Tablet so my hardware is wacom pen-only.

Some flavor of inputattach is likely required.

The laptop has a pressure sensitive pen as well as a multitouch display. The touchscreen is a wacom driver under windows. im a noob so i dont know how to compile and all that.

You might consider installing a modern linux distro like Ubuntu, MINT or Mageia and getting the pen and screen working there, in the end, the same low level drivers will be used on Android.

This will tell you (and us) what exact hardware is used, what drivers are used and perhaps even the options needed.

Note: It may not be totally plug-and play as the pen/touchscreen are probably serial devices.

You may have to manually load any wacom-related packages for them to be detected.

Can you try these commands?Ā
I have also a multitouch display and a pressure sensitive pen on my Fujitsu.

This worked for me:

modprobe wacom
modprobe wacom_w8001
/system/bin/inputattach --w8001 /dev/ttyS0 &

(copy it to /data/local/tmp for execute rights if you're running live cd)

for testing purposes try if you get input when you are runningĀ
inputattach --dump /dev/ttyS0

(do something with your fingers or the penĀ on the screenĀ and see if you get data)

inputattach will load the wacom_w8001 module for you with the -w8001 argument, you may need to play with the --baud speeds ( placed before the -w8001)

I have also been playing with wacom-input, as it possibly covers more hardware.
It is card coded for /dev/ttyS0 though, takes no arguments (just ignores them)

It even works on the 64bit kernel but something isn't right with the tslib cal setup, it seems to ignore the pointercal.

Hello Greg,

How do you think about adding inputattach (from Linux console project)?
I can't get enough information since I don't have Wacom devices.
If inputattach improves usability to Wacom users, (and if Chih-Wei
says yes to add it), I'll push it into external/.

Thanks,

Patch submitted weeks ago, submitted patch is inputattach only, didn't include all the joystick and keyboard stuff, but the full setup should build fine once the Android,.mk and the CleanSpec.mk are added.

Still trying to come up with an autodetect/autoload setup using the PNP in the kernel, meatspace projects and lack of familiarity with Android not helping..

isn't it a good idea to add also the keybpard and joystick input voor android? would be great in some games (joystick)

It only supports a few oddball devices few have.

IIRC some USB game controllers may//should be supported already.
(Looks at XBox (original) controller etc)

It's USB already, just needs an adapter or the end replaced, as it has a custom end now.

I picked up some wireless units that worked well back in the day.
