On X200 with wacom pen, cannot seem to get working calibration with wacom-input, ts_calibrate mostly works if you create the missing /data/system/tslib/ dir the pointercal lives in
Still working that as it could be malpractice on my part, biggest issue I see is forcing the screenmose or being able to manually tweak the pontercal, have not figured out which number is which
The binary inputattach i posted previously works fine, as it uses the kernel wacom module and does not need external calibration.

hi
congrats on 4.4. i tested it on on dell latitude st tablet. i was hoping you will put some magic for it. still no touch. couldnt reach anywhere to test sound and wifi.
plz help us. get us a working version for our device
good luck
You have an ntrig pen setup
Ntrig ships on android devices... may need something like inputattach, might do a little research to see if yours is serial or usb based.
SUSE Linux may work out of the box, try the live cd, you will then be able to see exactly what hardware you have and the needed drivers etc.
its possible you just need to know to load the kernel module.

working on a video uploaded later.
Issues:
The only issue I encountered is the netbook cannot turn the display off and keeps reading HDD after entering sleep mode. In order to get out of it
I have to mess with the keyboard for a while. It seems to receive key strikes, by looking at numberlock and capslock, yet in a very much delaied fashion. Sometime I have to force shut down as nothing works. Is this originated from some hacks to enable keyboard wakeup?
Are you sure you have synced the latest kitkat-x86 branch? Make sure the launcher you built is Launcher3 instead of Launcher2.

Thanks so far!
Issues: Launcher seems to cut the text under the icons. So on my 1024x600 display the text according to the icons is not readable.
*** Question ***
Root partition: Still limited to 2 GB? Could not verify that with live boot. Would be nice if anyone could report if that limitation is gone now!
asys3
I'm running a netbook by 'zoostorm'. Sound, network, inputs, etc all working! I installed /system as read/write when asked.
Wireless seems to be dropping out occasionally
System crashes causing soft reboot; Youtube (and some apps I installed) not working possibly permissions related (formatted ext3)
Just looking at logcat now.
Aaron.
Have you ever concidered to do the installlation on an usb stick or on a sdhc card.
The sdhc version is what I use as a"dual boot".
It also means that I can take the sdhc to another computer.
P-O
It's good :-)
On Asus eeepc 1000H is working great
The only thing holding me back from moving out of thinkpad 4.0.3 version is the suspend/resume issue. Old atom cpu generates considerable heat. The sleep mode keeps the temperature at bay by turning almost everything off whenever I leave the laptop.
By the time I came back to reply you figured it out, but I'll post my 40_custom entries anyway, might help someone else. This is on my ASUS EeePC 1005HAB:

Thank you for the sharing.
Could you list all the apps you tested in the video?

EeePC 701 & 1000HD use old Celeron CPU
that are not supported since android 4.x.
You need a CPU with SSE3 at least.
Booting//working on x200 thinkpad (i915) must use nomodeset boot arg, this disables opengl.
Still trying to get a build working again, mageia4 uses make v4 so the build borks.

If you can find the driver patch used in Ubuntu,
I'll try to add it.

After several months of development, I'm glad to announce the 4.4-RC1,
a candidate of Android-x86 4.4 stable release, to the public.
See the release note for details.

I managed to boot by shut it down a couple of seconds, then boot, if it fail, try again, thats the most anoying issue.

> NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M maybe the issue.....drivers are problematic on linux/android...
But it's an optimus system, the default graphic card is the integrated intel HD. NVIDIA will stay inactive unless explicitly asked to be active, which I don't expect to.

> I thought an optimus system transitioned between integrated
graphics and a discrete GPU automatically....as mostly
a battery saving feature....so how is it disabled through bios or
something??
It was. BIOS setting is no longer part of the spec (as implemented by my notebook) so the switching can only be done at software level. The automatic switching based on load ATM only works on Windows. On Linux, the switching must be done manually by running programs through a specialized "runner" (from Bumblebee project) which scans for drawing requests and redirect them to the NVIDIA card. Without it, it's always Intel HD that runs the program.

nope, I'll try tonight

hwaccel=0 nomodeset gives no difference. after all, there's nothing wrong with the graphics (why wouldn't I think about it?).
attached are the photos of my notebook screen describing what happens.

I'll check kernel logs, but I doubt nvidia is involved since it can't be active

I use SourceForge download for this release because
the googlecode doesn't offer download function anymore.
I haven't used SourceForge download for a long time.
It seems my settings was wrong so the file was hidden.
Now it should be fixed.
Sorry for that.

quiet) mode
others here can help assertain what you issue maybe....
I want to, but taking pictures is cumbersome. Where are my other partitions mounted? I saw in the kernel message all found partitions are mounted
