I've read that group for over 15 years, and have pages full of kill
filters. If you define your filter carefully, there's nothing you
can't filter out. Sadly, there's not a lot of actual freeware posted
anymore... but it's still the first place I go.

CTRL-K .... then troll's name and/or listed email.

Which "loser troll" are you specifically referring to? There are at
least a dozen.

Web based forums are like subscribing to 10 different newspapers
and having to visit 10 different news stands to pickup each one.
Email list-server groups and USENET are like having all of those
newspapers delivered to your door every morning.

Don't you need to escape the brackets? This will match any subject
containing an O or a T.

I don't believe it can be done in v1.9x. I think you need at least v5
or v6.

No, it has been a long time since I used 1.9, I was taking a stab at it
in the hopes it would work for you. Sorry.

1. Start with this discussion thread:
https://groups.google.com/d/topic/alt.usenet.offline-reader.forte-agent/gqm7Op3Xf5k/

2. If you were to use the NFilter/NewsProxy add-on, then you could
filter Google Groups posts on the Message-ID field even in your
Agent 1.92.

Posts from Google Groups have a distinctive Message-ID which
NFilter/NewsProxy can filter on.

REF: http://twovoyagers.com/improve-usenet.org/filters_ex2.html

3. Filtering Google Groups will not filter the second persona which
you mentioned in news:o5aurbl9df9ebgv1o...@4ax.com .

The second persona is posting via mixmin and not via Google Groups.

You post more about trolls than freeware for sure.

I dunno what the world is coming to.

It's little wonder Usenet is dying. Too many self important nobodies.

It goes out of it's way to offend and annoy anyone using ACF and it gets
indignant when other users want to filter it for trolling. Of course, it
is everyone else's fault.

More proof that denial is not just an Egyptian river.

Well you spelt denial correctly this time none but the gag doesn't work
so well with the correct spelling and your killfile is leaky as usual.

In case you lovely people are wondering "denile" and the gag was mine.
Who killed the grammar and spelling police. I kid you not "denile". I am
plagued by the illiterati. What do they teach these kids in school?
Apart from copyright theft, mediocrity and plagiarism.

If anyone would like to killfile this nymshifting arsehole troll his

This twerp thinks I'm a lycanthropic schizotypal lesbian called
Jessalyn. This is the kind of harassment I've had ever since I came to
Usenet. So many arseholes to take the piss out of. So little time.

That's because you had a setting wrong? in your client and poasted as
Jessalyn. You either accidently (doubtful) outed yourself, or, you got
caught socking, outright. As for the other aspects, personal opinion
based on some behaviors displayed by you. See, that wasn't hard.

ROFL. So many responses could be written to that, but, for the sake of
not adding a significant amount of noise to the newsgroups, I won't
take advantage of the opportunity that's being presented on a silver
platter.

A filter on Message-ID can get remove Google Groups, but it won't
remove the mixmin poster. The mixmin posts do not have a distinctive
mixmin Message-ID.

To filter mixmin posts you need to filter on the "Injection-Info:" or
"Path:" headers. Agent 6 cannot filter on these headers. NFilter/
NewsProxy can filter on these headers provided it has support from your
news server to do so. The catch is whether or not your news server
provides the necessary support.

For Christ's sake Ralph. I rarely change my nym/s or addys. How
difficult is this. Right click Filters > New Kill Filter.

The googlegroups guy always uses the same addy so you don't need to kill
everyone from googlegroups either.

I guess molehills look real big close up.

Your 'contribution' to ACF was four posts this year leech face. Thanks
for the laugh anyway. Your negativity is stifling btw. Thank fuck I
don't have to live with you or worse work with you. Gawd. Life's short.
Lighten up, and one more thing, blaming the cat for others misdemeanours
