AFCM, G-32, 12AF,64 (P) DFC, G-354, 7 AF, 66 (P) 10LC, G-591, 7AF, 66
AM, G-98, 2d AD, 66 (P)
and then under awards these are listed:
APCM w/4BSS , NDSM w/1BSS, AFLSA w/ (4) OLC, WWIIVM, AFRESM, SAER, DUC
w/ 10LC, ACM, PLR, VSM w/ 3BSS, RVSM
What I have figured out so far: The DFC is the Distiguished Flying
Cross Medal and the WWIIVM is the WW2 Victory Medal. I am thinking the
(4) OLC is 4 oak Leaf Clusters. But I know nothing else :(

First off, after the AFCM (Air Force Commendation Medal) G-32 is the general
order number, issued by 12th Air Force Hqds in 1964.
DFC(Distinguished Flying Cross General Order 354, issued by 7th Air Force
Hqds 1966 and awarded again (1 Oak leaf cluster) on general order G 591 by 7
Air Force Hqds in 1966.
AM Air Medal issued on General Order G 98 by 2nd Air Division in 1966.
I believe the (P) indicates that they were in the Pacific theater.
Now for the others....
AFCM ---Air Force Commendation Medal
AM---Air Medal
NDSM---National Defense Service Medal
AFLSA---Air Force Longevity Service Award
WWllVM---World War Two Victory Medal
AFRESM----Armed Forces Reserve Medal
SAER----Have no clue!!!!! but it might be Senior Army Emergency Response
Team.
DUC---Distinguished Unit Citation
ACM---Army Commendation Medal
PLR---Philippine Liberation Ribbon
VSM---Vietnam Service Medal
RVSM---Republic of Vietnam Service Medal
One other item, each OLC oak leaf cluster indicates an additional award of
the same medal.
Hope this helps. Looks like grandpa had a busy and "fun" year in 1966.

If I had my DD Form 214s available I could maybe figure out a few more.
(Sounds like he earned his keep.)

Tks Muff :) What does the Oak Leaf Cluster mean? so, my grandpa
recv'd the DFC 2X? Am I understanding that correctly? There are some
bases that he was at and they arent listed on his service
record---LAFB and Seymour Johnson AFB arent listed :( He was at SJAFB
when I was born (I was born at SJAFB in 67) and he was stationed at
LAFB as well.

Traci go to :
http://www.archives.gov/research_room/obtain_copies/standard_form_180.pdf
to get a printable copy of the Standard Form 180. All the instructions are
there for you.
