AKKA HTTP and JAVA

Team,

We wanted to create rest layer for our application. Wanted to make use of akka http instead of going for spring as we are working on akka modules like sharding and persistence. The idea is to use akka modules only from rest to persistence.

I wanted to look at akka http latest version java. But documentation is not yet helpful. Let me know how we begin with using akak http with java. Are there any examples available?Also documentation would be great help.

Hi Prakhyat,

the Java DSL is currently being developed, and it will be available when we announce HTTP & Streams 1.0 (which is roughly a month out). Of course there will also be documentation, but none of this is ready yet.

Hi Roland,

We are using java to build our application along with akka persistence. Currently in poc stage, felt akka http should be part of tech stack.

Is there any way we can avoid waiting for a month. Any alternatives you suggest.
