We switched to using Contact Management (unlimited contacts) this year and are still trying to get our feet underneath us.
One issue in particular is pulling an emergency list.
In the past we pulled guardian, mother, father, and emergency contacts (EC) by fields. Now, with the DATs, I don't know how to pull one person at a time for use in an object report or, preferable, I don't have an enterprise report that will pull guardian and EC information.
I tried looking on PowerSource and didn't find anything helpful there.
For example, if I'm doing a quick export, I can write a DAT for the guardian's name. I can limit this to 1 person, but then how do I get the 2nd guardian to come out? If I limit the DAT to two people, both names (or whatever data I'm pulling) will show up in 1 column or one area of an object report. While most of our guardians are mother/father, that is not true for all of our families, so I cannot pull information based on student relationship.
I know that we could use the number of the contact, but I feel that would require a lot of minute oversight and that admin assts would rebel or be inconsistent in keeping the guardians in spots 1 and 2.
Currently, I typically do one large DAT that pulls all of my needed information into one column and then break up the data in Excel, but that has more steps and is not always easy for admin assts to duplicate.
Long story short (too late), I would like to have a report to pull guardians and/or EC information from Contact Management. I would love to have both an enterprise report and the ability to add this to an object report, but I am not sure how.
If anyone has a working enterprise report, I would love a copy. If you have any tips or tricks, please let me know.
Thank you for your help!
