Somehow the embed link created by Mac Mail didn't work very well. Here's a working one.

Hugues, can you please shoot me an email? We are dealing with the same question at the moment.

Hiya,

Related to "code for community". This wasn't really a topic, but more an ongoing project.

We wanted to spend some time in the meetup actually developing and using some of the Agile practices. So, we want to build the agilesingapore.org website within the meet-ups (or outside if people want to contribute outside the meet-ups).

So, the first step was to make some backlog items, we got some of them and they are on the wall in the Odd-e office, but will be in github "issues". Then we started off with picking the technology, which is Ruby with Sinatra. We used cucumber for acceptance tests and went off to write a couple.

We got an organizational account on github for the page:
https://github.com/agilesingapore/agilesingapore.org

We didn't get that far in the meet-up. We got some tests to pass, but we don't deploy it yet as there is no information yet :)

Hopefully someone can propose this every meet-up and then pair with a group and use it as practice and make the met-ups more concrete. Do take your computer next time if you want to join the code for community since… otherwise… it will be hard (we had a lack of computer this time).

I'm looking forward to the next meet-up and coding session (though I don't know if I can make it yet)

And Thanks to the people who were there and started on this!

Bas
