What is the status of the instant run? It is working fo us?

Last working version for me was AS and gradle plugin  alpha7
alpha8 was really bad.
But also with alpha9 I must clean/rebuild project after few instant run, otherwise my changes are not propagated to the app.
Neither stop button and run again doesn't work.
Problem is also situation when application crash during instant run. It looks that app forgot changes made after last full build and only last change is applied.

We are getting close to moving it to beta. Please file bug reports at
b.android.com and include your idea.log.

I don't understand one thing. In the several first alpha versions was possible to initiate normal full build simply by red stop button and then Play again, now it doesn't work, it is bug or behavior?

It is expected behavior.

We only do incremental builds as long as what is installed on the device matches the local build on your machine. The way to trigger a full build would be to do a clean.

It makes almost impossible to testing Instant run during normal work.
I must do complete clean and rebuild many time per hours and it take more than 3 minutes on my project.
After several Instant runs something will broke and full clean is necessary.
Also external change cause problem.
When was possible simply manually stop instant run and initiate manually normal build it was much much better.
So what is now purpose of the red button?

Maybe uninstall the app will be faster way for me to force normal build without complete rebuild.

It will be great if you could file a bug and explain the problem. Please attach your idea.log as well as soon as such an error happens.

Please file a bug with some way for us to reproduce the problem.

You can still force it, but it will be a two step process: Press "Stop", then press "Build | Rebuild Project". I understand that is what you are asking for as a single action. We are considering something like that, but for now, it is 2 steps.
