Right now I am suffering from a serious error concerning the SIGSEGV, weird thing is I can do this step when the area is relative smaller, is it the doris has a limitation about the file size or something?

It is rather odd, I want your consile about how to debugging it !

Hi,

Doris does not have a limitation about file size, but it requires a larger area for the DEM compared to the image. Try increasing the size of your DEM and it should work.

Best,
batu.

In that case I would check the generated DEM and look angle files for bad values (inf, nan or may be even zero)...

What operating system are you using? How was Doris installed?

batu.

Dear Batuhan,

The problem is definitely not from the DEM, now I use the DEM 3 * 3 degree, and the TSX SM data is relative small region, but the error is still there ,the same description.

Where could it be? I successfully done the PS job for small region, what the whole area can not work? Desperate for your guide.

Best,

Steve

Hi Steve,

The look angle files (sam_m_theta*) are generated in the step that is failing. So may be you are not getting anything output yet. Did you check the DEM? Any zeros, or nan/inf values?

You can also run doris with gdb to see what is going on when it fails. If you are not familiar with gdb, ignore this suggestion.

The function you are interested in debugging is sim_amplitude () inside products.cc.

By the way, do you absolutely have to run m_timing step? Also, you said it ran fine with a smaller image. M_timing is likely the same, so you can just use your old timing offsets.

Best,
batu.

Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, both ordinary and debug version of Doris is installed. What do you mean by look angle files?
I tried with the debug version also, but nothing odd is found.
