In another group I belong to Livable Portland there's been alot discussion about how we'd like to see the elimination of the inbound side of Franklin and reutilize that space for development (preferably PHA) and a multi use trail. Using the criteria given in one of the discussions I made a mockup of what the intersection of Franklin, the Bayside Trail and Marginal Way could look like.

Green represents bike lanes, Red represents fully separated trails and courtyards of the new buildings, Light Grey represents sidewalks, and Dark Grey represents new buildings.

Nice sketch!
The old “Franklin Reclamation Authority” (FRA) had a meeting (actually a beer) last week to discuss how to move Franklin forward a bit faster (it can hardly move slower), I’ve forwarded the sketch to Markos who is convening FRA (and is on this list).
Thanks

Oh thanks! I didn't realize this was a group that was around. I know that Franklin is a major bug bear for most of the people in our group.
When do y'all usually meet?

FRA meets intermittently but there are plenty opportunities for involvement. One need is someone with graphic skills to lay out a “1-pager”
