Thank you for doing the dropbox!   I think the Wilson course sounds better, I am doing the EIM course right now and it is really overwhelming, so much information and so many articles. The course doesn't do a good job guiding you what to study, just gives you tons of articles and links to internet pages to read about the conditions.  It sounds like from reading reviews that the Wilson course is much more to the point about what you need to know. 

I also haven't heard anything about scheduling. I thought I remember reading something about being sent out on December 19th so hopefully coming soon.. 

I feel so behind.... I dont know if you guys saw but there is a practice test on the ABPTS site:  http://orientation.nbme.org/Launch/APTA

It is short but gives good examples.

Also, did anyone notice the Ortho section DSP was updated for 2016?  Came across an article in JOSPT regarding. Apparently this has to be done every so many years, and this year is it.  I have emailed APTA and they responded stating all Spring 2016 candidates will be responsible for the updates DSP.

Thank you for that link to the new DSP.   It doesnt look like it changed a lot , the percentages of what is on the test is close to the same, hip is up to 7% vs 5% previously and a couple other minor changes.  Did anyone else notice anything big that changed?  Thanks again for that link Matt.

I haven't noticed any largr changes either, looks like the hand/elbow have gone down a percentage. however i think the percentages on the test are likely the same as they were recently published in the applicant guide.  I think the content will be more geared towards manual vs modalities is what it looks like.  And Yes confirmed from the APTA it is in the testing cycle.

How many hours or how much is everybody studying for the OCS per week?  Im just curious if I am doing enough, I feel so behind and there is so much info I am struggling to feel like I am stuyding the correct stuff and putting enough time in.  It is really hard with working full time and family responsibilities.

How many hours or how much is everybody studying for the OCS per week?  Im just curious if I am doing enough, I feel so behind and there is so much info I am struggling to feel like I am stuyding the correct stuff and putting enough time in.  It is really hard with working full time and family responsibilities.

I'm guessing we all feel the same way especially if we are working full time jobs and have families! I am studying in the morning before work which seems to be working out nice (about 1-2 hours) then on the weekends I study about 3-5 hours a day.  I'm guessing I get anywhere from 10-15 hours a week.  How are things going for you? I find it really hard to study when I get home from work, so studying in the morning just allows me to go to the gym after work so I don't get burnt out!

Yeah I am getting about 10-15 hours a week in but mostly at night after work.  A couple hours each night and a couple on the weekend.... I take the test on March 9th so it is getting close!

It is tough studying!  Finding time and energy with a family and full time job in clinic.  I am averaging about 8-10 hours per week.

Last week I posted a powerpoint to Dropbox overviewing lumbar treatment based classification (TBC).  Check it out if you haven't.

I did not receive the invite. Maybe try again if you have time? Hope your studies are going well. I watched the first of 4 final reviews from Eric Wilson's online course yesterday and he basically said not to read the monographs lol I was like ummm that's basically the main thing I AM doing! That's when I turned to the study group to see what everyone else was doing! Thanks so much

Yes he did say not to read the monographs , i will ask him next time about the ortho secrets book. He did recommend the book by Joshua Cleland. I have that book and it basically is a selective version of Magee with all the sn/sp and LR.
