Hey all,

I have a commitment from UDigg to sponsor lunch for GDCR 2013, but we still need a breakfast sponsor.
Does anyone know of any companies/organizations that would like to Sponsor breakfast? It is a great opportunity to get in front of a lot of developers using a variety of programming languages.

Thanks,

-Ken Taylor

The breakfast sponsor doesn't have to commit as much as for lunch. Last year the breakfast sponsor paid for coffee and snacks.

Ryan,

Do you remember who you used last year for breakfast and lunch? I thought they were both good and we could use them again if there are no objections.

For lunch we used 3way cafe. They're on the pricier end. For breakfast we just got dunkin donuts and some snacks from Costco.

Cool. I seem to remember the dunkin donuts -- we will have to do that again...

I still haven't found a breakfast sponsor yet -- any ideas on who to call? I tried reaching out to Linda on Twitter, but I think she might be out of town.

If you don't find anyone, lemme know and I'll cover it.  Say it's courtesy of Winsitter.

Cool. I appreciate that Kevin -- definitely puts my mind at ease.
I will let you know by the 13th if we don't have a breakfast sponsor.

Ken are you taking care of the ordering? Its ok to have a smaller sponsor for Breakfast. Last year Michael Buckbee did it. We could also ask Brennan, Andrew, Mike, and Kevin to go joint on breakfast to showcase local developer's products.

Just a thought.

Carry Norfolk can throw down on it and also provide delivery for the meals.

Ryan,

I am guessing either Ian or myself will take care of ordering. We were planning on doing an after-hours coordination meeting over some beers to game plan the event -- if you have the time, it would be nice to get your input.
I think the idea of dividing it up for the showcase is a good idea -- it sounds like Kevin would be interested in it. Should we DM or email the others on about it?

Thanks,

Ken Taylor

Ryan,

I totally "spaced" and forgot to tell you (yesterday was pretty busy) -- Ian and I met yesterday at Hatch and came up with a good game plan for the day. I will ask the others about breakfast.

Cool. It'll be a week from tomorrow so let me know if there is anything else I can do. What are the signups looking like?

Ryan,

4 or 5 on the GDCR site, and the eventbrite site, I am not sure (Ian has the login and can tell you) -- but if he didn't change the max seats -- we have close to 20.
BTW -- what sources did you approach last year for the swag (Clean Coder videos, etc)?? We still need to line that up if possible.

That was all provided by GDCR. You'd have to check with Jim or the mailing list to see if there's going to be swag this year.

Thanks for the heads-up, I will reach out to Jim and see if there is anything for this year. I also emailed Marsee from O'Reilly to see if they have anything for this years GDCR.
