Dear 5G-LENA Community Members,

Is there a way to dynamically control how many PRBs are available for UEs from the gNB during simulation (in Uplink)? . I’m trying to vary the total available resources over time to reflect changing network conditions (control of available PRB is necessary in my scenario).

I believe this might require modifying the "NrMacScheduler"  class (or related classes), but I’m not sure how to approach it.

Is there a way to control available resources over time without directly changing the scheduler? Or has anyone implemented something similar?

Thanks in advance,
Best Regards,

Bara Sabbah

I think you should be able to accomplish this by setting different notching masks over time.

When a notching mask is applied, does the UE transmit only on the non-notched PRBs? In other words, is it scheduled exclusively on the remaining PRBs, and is its transmit power distributed only over those PRBs or across the entire BWP?

Yes. For power, make sure uniform power allocation is not used. I think it is off by default.
