yes it is. But anyone using this brand of machine? It's around half the price.

It's a rebadged creatbot.
I got a creatbot from someone on eBay.
Some stuff it's pretty nicely done. Others not so much.
It is solidly built (it weighs a ton).
I'm not a fan of the hot end and some of the rods weren't terrible straight.
I got some pretty good prints from it though.
I'm in the process of machining a new hot end and converting it over to 1.75.

Only place I've found pricing was Alibaba:

I have no idea about the credibility of the seller...just the only pricing I found.

Can't even find users of this brand of printer or reviews of their previous printers.
Looks like it weighs a ton.

The Sales people responded well to complex questions. Head tech guy is named "Magic" and seemed like the type you would want to talk to if you had an issue...you know...if you believe in Magic.

after researching for hours...then days....then weeks. I decided on a Ultimaker2. But since they are in England, and from what I've read in forums have production issues (quantity issues, not quality) I looked for alternate options with a similar design. and either fully built, or at least a complete kit with tons of documentation. the only complete match I found was these mankati guys. I had a max range of about $1500, the model I wanted was just over budget before shipping and import taxes and for some reason they refused to sell their other models.

I ended up with an $800 makerbot2 clone (see pic) and I plan to use it to build a Tantillus, or Ingentis, or similar. After I build a well documented Mini Kossel (delta). The Tantillus/Ingentis (I can't remember the 3rd big one's name) all use the same 1 axis build platform, with that sweet x-y linear motion design as ultimaker2

I have been looking into this printer for a while. Creatbot and Mankati are the same company. Mankati is the one they sell internationally. They have had a big marketing push in Australia and there are several people selling them here. Also started a web forum http://forum.mankati.com/forum.php
Would love to hear how you are getting on with your one.

Hi there,

I've just seen your postings on the CreatBot printer and so have joined this group to reply.  I've just bought one of these printers that can do a build volume 250 x 250 x 450mm.  These are just beginning to sell in the UK and, as already mentioned, seem to be an Ultimaker 2 clone but larger.  I've just had it a week, and so cannot give a true review until it is tried and tested.  However, I also have a 3D systems Cubex Duo, which I've had for just over a year and as proved to be a real pain.  Compared with that, the CreatBot is looking like it is far superior.  I've also noticed the Mankati printers, which are identical, and so it makes sense that they are the same company.  However, I see that Mankati are based in Shanghai and CreatBot in Zhengzhou.

Regards,

Mick

I would be very interested in hearing how you are going with this printer. The main reports that I am reading is a problem with the extrudes and PLA other than that the printer is getting a good wrap.

There is a Mankati forum. One of the admin there her name is Emma states on the forum

 http://forum.mankati.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=22&extra=page%3D1

"Mankati and Creatbot is the same company with two different brands
Creatbot is the brand in China market, and Mankati is brand for international market. "

I asked if there was any difference between the 2 machines as a dealer in Melbourne told me the Creatbot was better built her reply was

Machine is the same, all the parts and configuration."

Hi CT4,

I'll let you know if I encounter any problems.  It is a little early to give a definite 'yes' to this machine and I have encountered two small problems so far: the power switch on the side seems to have an intermittent fault, as sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.  When it doesn't the power stays on.  However, I just pull the cable out of the back.  My printer actually came with a spare switch, as well as other spares, so I'll get around to changing it sometime.  The other problem was that some of the 3mm PLA filament went brittle and snapped off just below the extruder.  I cut off about 1.5ft and have printed with it since without it breaking again.  Mind you, brittle PLA is a problem with most printers (even the CubeX, which has the PLA encased in an 'expensive' cartridge to stop this).  The extruders are really 'chunky' and wonder what the problems are you mentioned?  The clamps that hold the filament to the serrated extrusion wheel have spring-loaded screws, and it's important not to over-tighten.

Cheers,

Mick

I've bought the Mankati FullScale on the 23rd of July and until now I haven't been able to use it once.
The printer was delivered with the glass of the print bed broken and a missing filament motor.
Mankati support sent the missing motor but only the glass part of the print bed.
When I tried to change the glass I noticed that the previous piece of glass broke at the screw holes so I realised that this was probably the cause of the damage in the first place.
When I contacted Mankati Support to ask the return of the printer they simply denied (again, the printer was delivered with internal damage and missing parts).
They also told me that if I broke the replacement glass they sent, it would be my fault and they will not replace it again.
So now I'm stuck with a $2k piece of metal garbage.

Be aware and avoid this low quality product.

Jay no interest in a Delta for that list? The Cerberus 400 prints just over 18" in stock form and can be made larger if need be.

Clinton,

I've got a Delta Orion that I'm training myself on...I'm learning the good and bad points of Delta's.....I've got my KickStarter Boots Industries BL2.5 Delta on the way (4-6 weeks...they just sent shipment emails).
That's a 304.8mm (12" OD) with 304.8mm (12" high)....so that should cover my 'round' needs. Delta seem very speed sensitive....Learning S3D at the same time too.

The Creator XL and the Big Builder Dual are both TALL bots...XL=23.6" and the BB Dual is 26.18".

Of course there's some real complaints about the Creator design out there. I am probably going to post a new thread specifically calling on Jetguy. I know he looked hard at the creators a year ago....had some pro's and con's. Some of that they've addressed, some not.

The Big Builder has no real reviews or video's....it's been out for 5 or 6 months in Germany. (Helga said no problem shipping to the stated but she didn't know how long it would take...AND....no shipping or duties coming in).

Still on the lookout though...I've got several designs I could be doing right now (Hint : P-51 Mustang Model or my Type VII Submarine).

I have a leapfrog and it is a total piece of rubbish, Badly designed, suspect electronics an extruder that fails all the time and Z bed drive that is a joke! I contacted Leapfrog and their reply to fixing these problems was the model I have is not good, but ,...wait for it,......They offered to sell me a new one....WTF. Please do yourself a favour and remove that printer from your wish list.

Hmm I don't find the same. I find the Delta once set to be very reliable and worry free, well to be fair so is my Rep1. The build size you list for the Boots is still pretty small, the one I am taling about has a build area of 400mm diameter and 480mm height so just a little larger overall build area than the Z18. ;)

Hey Mick!

I'm looking into this company and all I have seen is Atunci's terrible review everywhere (that seemed pretty absurd, sorry that happened) but I am thinking they have learned from that experience. How has the Fullscale XT been printing? Would you recommend it?
Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Hi, I haven't got the Fullscale XT, I have a Createbot which I have been told is the same machine under a different name. It gives good prints and the only problem so far is the power switch has stopped working - it stays on all the time until unplugged. They provided a spare switch, which I have yet to fit. No other issues with it.

Hi Michael,

I am thinking of trying thei new Mini model ($4xx with 15x15x22mm build area) - Is the one you get from Creatorbot is Max model? Do you like their build quality? Lastly will it work with other software like Pronterface, Mattercontrol or Cura? I assume they use open source firmware Marlin right?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

My Creatbot has 450mm build height.  I don’t think the build quality is bad, but it’s not exceptional.  The printer works off Cura, which they have adapted for the specific machine.  I don’t know if it would work off other software.

Regards,

Michael

Thank Michael,

I think it is different model as their Max has build size: 280*250*400 mm. The pic of machine can be viewed here -->  Max Model

I guess it is a direct drive version as it uses 1.75mm filament.

Thanks for your information.
