XL More Colors
The ability to add the MMU3 OR SOMEOTHER open source multilateral solution to toolhead #5, for those days when 5 colors are just not enough :-) [11/2025]
XL Tune
The ability to “tune” a print to add a filament join. For those days when you thought you had enough filament but now 15 hours later you see the end of the spool and you would just like to be able to go to sleep and have it switch to that other spool. [11/2025]
Ability to do a “spool join” or in general swap to a different extruder mid print [3/2026]
XL Better part cooling
Better part cooling [1/2026] Where is the MK4S type of upgrade for the XL? CPAP ? Can someone officially test the various improved shroud designs and bless one if it is actually better?
XL Strobe Tuning for enclosure owners
Strobe based belt tuneing as in the coreone [1/2026]
XL Lets Speed some stuff up !
Printbed Heatbed Soaking should be able to be optionally done during change fillament all tools so when you have your fillament loaded the printer is ready to go [1/2026] (You can also do this for INDX)
When doing change-fillament-in-all-tools the ‘retracting fillament phase’ (new) should be done after the toolhead has been put back into the dock - there is no reason (that I know of) the printer cant move on to the next task while it is dont that [2/2026]
XL Improve Spool Join
Optional Ability to do a spool join to a tool that is already assigned to a different purpose without removeing the existing assignment. [6/2026]
For example I might want to print something in RED WHITE and BLUE but if I run out of RED finish the RED stuff in BLUE, while still printing the BLUE stuff in BLUE. It would be ok if the printer parked the tool and then unparked it when switching from BLUE to BLUE being used for RED each time. [6/2026]
XL ok, maybe this one is silly
The ability to have different heat bed tiles at different temperatures. For those times your printing a dummy13 and want the PETG joints over here and the PLA armor over there - ok this is a silly ask [11/2025]
XL - DONE
- The ability to “tune” a print and load filament onto an extruder you weren’t useing, or is not currently printing now (see above) - yes it will pause the current print and have to swap toolheads twice…. [11/2025]

Slicer I would like to be able to cancel the wipetower midprint
Bracketing the WipeTower in the Gcode (I can almost see how to do this with a post processing script) so that it is a cancelable object. For those days when it’s the @#@! WipeTower that fell over, but the model would probably finish ok without it. [11/2025]
Slicer: Rearranging extruders is very hard
Ability to swap around colors (I know I can do this at print time) [1/2026]
TRICK for XL: change printers definition to have additional fake tools. Then you can use the flood paint feature to swap the colors around…
Slicer: HEX shaped PEGS
When cutting an object and using PEGS would. Be nice if there was an option for HEX shaped pegs with the points of the HEX aligned with the Z direction and the pegs printed on the print bed on one of the HEX sides. Hexigons will print better than circles (without supports) in Z, and if printed flat on the bed will be stronger then the way pegs are printed. [6/2026]
