Hello all,

I successfully installed ztu. However, I was not able to run the experiment as I did not find the 'Hello World' file in 'ztree toolbox website'. Also, I want to run risk and time preference experiment, I am not sure how can I get the ztree file and run my experiment. Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thank you.

Have you ever used z-Tree on Windows, and if so, to what extent?

Hi Max,

I would say, I am just starting to learn about ztree. I followed your videos on the website. I am trying to run an experiment in Oracle Virtual Box as you have demonstrated in the video.

Thank you.

Well, that's all fine and good, but zTu sort-of assumes that you already have developed an experiment to run. Such development is typically done on Windows; and then one uploads the resulting ztt file to the virtual machine in order to run a session over the Internet. In other words, it appears as though you need to develop your experiment, but zTu is only for conducting it.

This is great information. Thank you, Max. I have another question for you: what is the best way to send the ZTU experiment links to the participants? I mean, we are running virtual experiments through zoom (in our local computers), and our experiment links will be generated in the virtual machine. We cannot simply copy and paste those links between those two environments. So, I wonder what is the best way to solve this problem?

Thank you.

Let me reframe my question asked in this email thread:

What is the best way to send the ZTU experiment links to the participants? We plan to run a virtual experiment through zoom (in our local computers), and our experiment links will be generated in the virtual machine. We cannot simply copy and paste those links between those two environments. So, I wonder what is the best way to solve this problem?

I enabled bidirectional clipboard and copied and pasted the links, but it does not work in my local computer browser whereas it works fine in the browser in the virtual machine.

Thank you.

Weren't you the guy with the AWS zTu setup? At what point does a
"virtual machine" (I'm assuming under VirtualBox) enter the game here?
Why don't you just copy the URLs from the server using PuTTY/PowerShell+ssh?
