Hello All,

I am going through the samples which accompany version v3.1.4 and created an Xcode and VS2019 updated example. I noticed that the lines on the toolbar separator in Mac are missing. Is this a bug or possible as-designed? Below is a png of the difference between the two examples on Mac (Xcode 12.2, Catalina 10.15.7) and Windows 10 with VS 2019.

Attached are the Xcode and VS2019 files that can be placed in the wxWidgets-3.1.4/sample/toolbar folder and ran to show the above pictures. Are the separator lines to remain invisible on Mac?

Thank you :)

I think this is native OSX behavior.

But let's wait for Stefan/Vadim to confirm.

Thank you.

You shouldn't compare the appearance between different systems, they're
not, and not supposed to be, exactly the same. Instead, you should compare
the appearance of the toolbar in the sample with that in the native
applications. AFAIK they both look fine, i.e. the same as their native
counterparts, but if you do see a difference, please let us know.

VZ

Thanks for the response Vadim.

Sometimes these differences in programming are due to the OS and sometimes due to the programming interface (wxWidgets-like). If this is the way it is to be, that is good.

Thank you, and I'll mark the question as answered.

Warm regards,

Eugene
