I see that the recent episodes of the "NHK Documentary" series, which you might be able to watch via a subchannel of your local PBS station, or else here:

have been devoted to the team battling COVID-19. At one point they were lamenting that their tracing was being thwarted by VIP's, whose night-spot activities
were being concealed by the night-spot owners (!). It reminded me of some Japanese film noir I've seen. Perhaps Kurosawa's "Stray Dog" (1949) :-).

P.S. Maybe the U.S. could benefit if CAPTAIN OBVIOUS took the cleanup position, to borrow a baseball term, at the COVID-19 briefings :-).

It's obviously been a huge boost to the broader-based TOPIX, which closed at 1,447.75, up 25.96 points or 1.83 percent.
