Hi its Gary the inventor of the wiseway my partner Gene and I have a new stove we will start shipping out in February. It's gravity feed non electric like the wiseway but works completely different. Here is a short video link from Gene . You can cook on the top of it!

This looks great man! I am building a tiny house, so this thing is too big. Please build a small pellet stove that will heat under 500 sq ft, and I’ll be the first in line!

Thanks monique This stove turns down Pretty Low but it's probably still too big For a tiny home

I swear you’d get a LOT of folks buying anything you make that would heat a tiny house. It’s a lot easier of course to deal with than wood cords. At this point, I’ll be buying a small wood stove, but would totally prefer a pellet stove obviously.

Gary, can I pick your brain?
What causes the fire or smoke to rise up to the little box above the
burn chamber? The one with the lid, where the pellets drop down to?
This is the second it's happened to me... and I don't know what
causes it or how to prevent it. ashes are not full, secondary burn is
not clogged or full... ??
I am using pine pellets because we don't have softwood here. I did
just mix some hard/mix pellets--but I thought those were all through.
They really don't stay burning and are about impossible to start.
could that have caused it? (I don't know if I was using pure pine the
last times or not. ) Fire's still cooking away, draft is fine--so
the chimney's not plugged... I can hear it pulling... It is very
cold out-- getting below zero... stove's been running all day.
This worries me. Seems like it *could* continue to crawl right up to
the pellet box if I were asleep, or not home. It's my primary heat
source.

I know you say it's not the draft but it is the draft Sounds like you get wind in your area and the wind comes downThe chimney in causes smoke to come up into that 2nd area I recommend you put A vacuum stack chimney cap on that creates a draw If you can't get one of those Get a directional Chimney cap it's like a weather vane And it turns into the direction of the wind and blocks it from going down the chimney

We also had this happen and find that it is usually a dirty stove or chimney. Also having the right chimney hight is very important.

Yes- we definitely get wind. I suspected that somehow. Or barometer?
The height *should* be correct, had a very excellent tech install
who knows this area and has been installing stoves for decades.
(but-before you say it-- not Wiseaways-- no one here has seen one,
it's quite the novelty-- ) He studied the manual a lot before
installing.
Brenda- it's funny you say dirty-- I actually had just cleaned for
trhe first time in quite a while as it had been running pretty much
24/7 and never cool to clean. I had just shop vacced etc. the day
before. Ran it hot for about 12 hours before this happened, but
turned it down to low when it started. ??? I rarely run it on
low... I don't really need it if temps are above 30, and if they're
below, I need it cranked...
