cannot install weewx 5.1 with apt

on a Raspberry with bookworm 6.6.51+rpt-rpi-v8 I have configured apt for Debian according to the documentation. The key file weewx.gpg was created without error message.
The file weewx.list has the following content:

deb [arch=all] https://weewx.com/apt/python3 buster main

but it does not find the installation files.
sudo apt install weewx
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
Reading state information... Done
E: Unable to locate package weewx

does anyone have any advice

Did you do "sudo apt update" before trying the install?

I have the same problem by updates.

Ign:3 https://weewx.com/apt/python3 bookworm InRelease
Fehl:4 https://weewx.com/apt/python3 bookworm Release
404

Have you released weewx for bookworm yet?
Because the instructions only say something about buster.
But since I did an upgrade, weewx still starts on the system.

just use the 'buster' label

weewx 5 works with every debian release from 'buster' onward. it is not necessary for us to release a separate weewx deb for each debian release.

Creating a soft link for each debian release to the existing buster files might ease some confusion though?

python2:
wheezy -> squeeze
jessie -> squeeze
stretch -> squeeze

python3:
bullseye -> buster
bookworm -> buster
