As best as I recall events of a couple of weeks ago, with a long
string, I would type the restart command, but subsequently typing the
status command revealed that the restart did not occur. I shortened
the string twice, and finally the system restarted.
system configuration:
= weewx 5.0.1 installed on a Dell Vostro 200, running on UPS
= Vostro 200 has fresh install of Debian 12, and is dedicated to weewx
= installation via weewx Debian procedure (not pip)
= Davis Vantage Pro2 wireless, six or seven years old
= Davis USB datalogger, connected directly to Vostro USB port
= upload at 5 minute intervals to
www.alysonwonderland.org (shared
hosting on hostgator)
I shall be glad to run any diagnostics you wish.
