Hi all,

Tomorrow the Google Summer of Code will officially start, and can't wait to produce some actual results for visualizing networks! Unfortunately, I still have a few deadlines for some study assignments, and one exam left. An overview:

- June 9th: last exam. This course is not that hard, so most of the studying for this course can be done in the evening hours.
- June 19th: deadline research proposal assignment. Most of this assignment has already been written, and the rest is mostly incorporating feedback from my lecturer.
- June 30th: Image analysis assignment deadline. About 30% done.

I'll try to finish these assignments as quickly as I can, while keeping focus on the GSoC. So, for coming week, I will follow this schedule:

- Monday: GSoC (whole day)
- Tuesday: last day of lectures
- Wednesday/Thurday: GSoC (whole day)
- Friday morning: GSoC, afternoon: image analysis assignment
- Weekend: personal activities

Furthermore, I've created a pull request where I've started with the first part of my project: Bezier lines and arrows!

I'll keep you posted,
Lucas

Sounds good, thanks for the update! I'll comment on your PR soon.

Hi all!

The schedule for this week:
Yesterday: studying
Today: GSoC
Wednesday: GSoC
Thursday: GSoC
Friday: studying
Weekend: studying (exam June 9th)

I think the arrow heads should be working by the end of the week, and I hope to make a start with some new arrow heads.

Regards,

Hello all,

This has not been my most productive week due to emergency feature request at work this mondaynoon, and this messed up my schedule a bit. Also, the deadline of my last study assignment (June 30th) is closing so this will need some work the coming days, although I'll probably ask if I can extend this deadline a bit because my wrist is starting to complain after these 12 hour work days the past week.

This week:
- Mondaymorning: Created my own arrowhead (inhibitor, round reverse arrow head).
- Mondaynoon: work
- Tuesday: work/study assignment
- Yesterday: Network API research
- Today: study assignment / network API research
- Tomorrow: study assignment
- Next week: combining the study assignment and network API design

I'll be drafting an API design document as @jvtrudel describes [here][1]. Probably not as extensive but having a rough idea how the API will look like is probably a good idea before starting programming.

Anyway, the study year is almost over!

Hi all,

What would be good time to have a midterm talk? I'm available the whole day today and tomorrow morning (until ~13.00 GMT+2). What medium would you guys prefer? IRC? Google Hangouts?

Well tomorrow can be a bit later too, don't know if that's a possibility?

Hi all!

Thanks for the midterm pass, and let's start another week of coding! And this will be my schedule:

Today: GSoC, porting arrow heads to new visual system
Tomorrow: Partly GSoC, partly image analysis study assignment
Thursday: study assignment
Friday: study assignment
Saturday: GSoC
Sunday: GSoC

It's probably a good idea to have a sort of midterm talk anyway, do you guys have any possibility this week? Anyway this week should really my definitive last study week.

Regards,

I'm really sorry but I'm completely swamped right now... feel free to
do it without me! I've lost track of the latest changes in the project
anyway...
