Hi All,

We're using SE2022 iPhones running iOS18.2.  Our iPhones consistently show the wrong temperatures for our area, but the correct area / city / zip code is selected.  Can we choose a different weather reporting service for our iPhones?  If so, how is this done?
All input is greatly appreciated.  Thanks mooy moocho.

Take care.  Mike.  Sent from my iBarstool.

I think you would have to try a different weather app than the one that comes on the device.

There is no option for a different weather service.

How is it that you know it is wrong?

If you are not near the official weather station location, your temps may vary quite a bit.

Speaking of SE phones, I was at Verizon yesterday, asked the guy if they had started a waiting list for the SE4 and also did he know what colors they would offer? He was so helpful to both me and Sharon, seemed better than most, but he had not the faintest idea in the whole, wide world what I was talking about. He did not have one clue. I might as well have asked Sharon's 86-year-old mom, who only uses flip phones.

Carolyn,
That is because Apple has made no official announcement of a new SE. Until they do, all information is rumor.

This is because what info has surfaced about the SE4 is all from rumor
sources and not from Apple.

Thanks. I wonder if the new SE will make their stock go up? Probably not.

Isn't it amazing that the guy didn't even know it was a rumor?

Going back to the original topic of this email thread, you could try adding in another location that has temperatures similar to yours. I have several locations saved in my weather app. If you double tap Location list at the bottom right of the app, you can see your list of weather locations, and you can add new locations. You could also choose the city that you are located in as a location rather than your current location. The temperatures should be similar within a couple of degrees. You could also figure out if your weather ap is consistently off by say three degrees. Then you could just facter that information in when you view the weather app's information. You could also try another app. The WHIO weather app is pretty good and it gives you weather warnings including when rain is going to begin.

We know it's wrong because of other temperature sensors around the house.  Our Honeywell thermostat and temps from a local firehouse to name a couple.  Even our Amazon Echo devices are closer than the iPhone weather app.

Take care.  Mike.  Sent from my iBarstool.

Hi Barbara,

The city we're in is already saved in the locations list, but trying a different city is a good idea, and we'll give that a try.  Thanks much..

Take care.  Mike.  Sent from my iBarstool.

I am also using an iPhone SE 2022 and I also have an iPhone SE 20 both on the original Weather app. It is possible to have different weather apps on the phone. I have The Weather Channel app and also have another app on the phone called Weatherology. So that if the temperature ends up being wrong on the original weather app, I can always go to The Weather Channel app or better yet Weatherology, which is more accessible and they give you a weather forecast when you open the app. I also have a laxative device hooked up. , I can always go to The Weather Channel app or better yet Weatherology, which is more accessible and they give you a weather forecast when you open the app. I also have a laxative device hooked up, and, a Google Home speaker. They both tell me the temperature where I live in another place that I go to in Oklahoma City.

If you use The Weather Channel app, you might want to turn screen recognition on when you get into the app. The one thing the weather channel is good at is giving you warnings and messages about different sorts of things that are coming up such as storms and cold weather advisories, and things like that. When I use the The Weather Channel app, I get the tornado watches and warnings from that particular app. I am in Oklahoma in my very life depends on me getting the watches and warnings for tornadoes.

Here in California I should be looking for a fire app!

There is a possibility that The Weather Channel app would give you different kinds of information in California. You may want to try to look for an app that would warn you about fires in your area.

Do not know about its accessibility, but the best app for tracking the wild fires is called Watch Duty.  The actual data is supplied by volunteer firemen and dispatchers.  Since I do not live in California, again, I do not know how accessible it is, but it is definitely worth giving it a shot.  Here is a link to the app store.

Yes this would be correct because apple don't let any info out until the day of release or if they did have a release presentation prior to the device coming out.

And in the case of the SE devices, they don't really do presentations likethat.
