weird error:

/usr/lib64/gcc/x86_64-suse-linux/7/../../../../x86_64-suse-linux/bin/ld: objects/os_unix.o: undefined reference to symbol 'shm_open@@GLIBC_2.2.5'
/usr/lib64/gcc/x86_64-suse-linux/7/../../../../x86_64-suse-linux/bin/ld: /lib64/librt.so.1: error adding symbols: DSO missing from command line

You have a very old system, you should consider upgrading it.

Anyhow, try explicitly exporting LDFLAGS=-lrt or possibly set it in the
Makefile.

that didn't help

or was i supposed to export before myconfig?  (i did before re-running make)
