Using VDH

Windows 11, VDH 7.6.0.0 CoApp 1.63

Hi I have access to a couple of paysites and download from them. The first site, I click on the VDH icon and I can see the various options of videos with different resolutions and quality. I click on the one I want and it gets downloaded.

On the second site I click on the VDH icon and can see the various chunks of the file I wish to get. I don't see any of the video options as in the previous case, Just the chunks.

I have tied clicking on the first chunk, going to the settings, click on download all, however all I ever get is the one chunk that I actually clicked on. Could someone please help with what I need to do to get all the files for the full video.

Since you're dealing with a pay site, you're not going to get any help here trying things
out to see if they work. You're going to have to do it yourself. There may be some help
you can find in this forum. Maybe. I don't want to oversell this. It's possible this
will work, but it might not. Only you will be able to figure that out by trying it.

You'll probably want to bookmark that for easy reference. I recommend you read that
thread, if not now, eventually. As you read through it, you will come to a reference
about downloading items that VDH can't. You can skip quickly to that reference by doing
a string search on "cannot download" in there. Click that link & be prepared to burn
some brain cells. The technique described in that thread might -- I say, MIGHT -- work
on your pay site. Do come back & let us know how you get on with this. Do that by
clicking the Reply all button. DO NOT USE the Reply to author button. The way to add a
post to a thread is by clicking the Reply all button.

Thanks for the reply. I suppose my question should be have you seen what's happening in instances like this? Does it mean that VDH cannot download the full file or am I not doing the correct procedure for it to do so

I have used VDH to download from behind a paywall. Being behind a paywall does not, in &
of itself, preclude the use of VDH. Your own original post contains confirmation of that
fact. But not every site presents its content in the same way. So your particular pay
site may be one of those that doesn't present its content in a way VDH can recognize. I
would check it myself but obviously, I can't. I'm not a member of that site. Well, I
guess I'm jumping to that conclusion since you didn't actually give a URL to that site.
Maybe I am a member of the site. In which case I would probably already know whether you
can use VDH or you are forced to go to Plan B, which is what I was going on about in my
previous post. There is also the possibility the content on your second pay site is DRM
protected. You can determine that using instructions you can find via that thread whose
link I posted above & recommended you bookmark & read. Just do a string search on "drm"
in there. There's a few search hits you'll find for "drm" in there so don't just stop at
the first one you find.

There is no fast answer here. You're going to have to put in some time & effort figuring
things out for yourself here. I'm hoping the references I've given you will help in that
effort. But you shouldn't be expecting a quick fix here. Since it is a pay site, that
prevents me (and anybody else reading this) from verifying things. You have to do it.
