"Nigeria is one country in which gain without work is acceptable as long as everything glitters. It is one country where a man or lady, who had no job in January can suddenly become a multi-billionaire in dollars in August and nobody will ask questions. He or she doesn’t even have to pay tax or declare the source of income."

Abati was in the administration of former President Jonathan, why didn’t he write about Nigerian Fraudsters then? Was he not part of the government that allowed fraudsters to flourish? Where was he when ‘money speaks syndrome’ pervaded Nigerian institutions rather than ‘hard work and honesty’ uplifts a nation?

With all due respect, Prof., discussions on national issues should not be turned to personal and political attacks on individuals. 'Money speaks syndrome' did not start and thrive with the period you associated with Abati. If I recall rightly, the Military ceased power on January 15, 1966 as there were utter complaints of corruption and such cases as you described ...
On the 31st of December, 1993, Buhari as a soldier, said he came to fight corruption. Corruption and particularly 'money speaks syndrome' has been endemic in Nigeria. Therefore, anyone including Abati, that has the strength to write to condemn corruption is, to me, performing a national duty.
As it is sir, with all due respect, you and I lack the capacity to limit the number of people who can write on issues as endemic as corruption in Nigeria.
