perhaps to help clarify issues one could reference the 'conference on witchcraft' to make it clear that its a scholarly gathering to discuss witchcraft as different from a gathering of witches, such as the global conference of witches once described as held in nigeria, though on the spiritual plane, if i recall correctly,  by benin city's chief priest osemwegie ebohon, a gathering that Nigerians need in public view to help gain clarity on convergences between the alleged varieties of  African and other forms of witchcraft
