Hi Everyone,

Some time ago some of us went to PARI to volunteer. Lamar Owen hosted us and I had a great time. Is Lamar still a lurker on the list? If so I'd like to talk to you again.

Thanks,
Mike Major (ossfm)

Hi Mike,

Been a while, but I'm still here.  I've bee asked to present how PARI tracked Artemis II with open source software running on Linux at some point in the future, just haven't gotten the scheduling to work yet.

We're running Debian pretty consistently these days, and our receiver systems use the SDRangel software.  Our server systems are on Proxmox (which is one of these reasons I migrated pretty much everything to Debian a few years back; the other reason was the CentOS 8 kerfuffle).

The GPS NTP server you built was finally decommissioned after the Agilent Z3816 GPSDO it used as reference rolled epoch and started reporting a date in 2002... we're now using an Orca GPSDO and a little low-power Debian box running NTP.

That’s a really cool update. I didn’t know you were involved in Artemis. That’s very exciting. Does it get any better than rockets and computers?? Maybe not.
