Dear members of UoPeople ACM Student Chapter

We are now musing with joy as we would henceforth be studying at a University that is highly valued by the rest of the world. Our work and qualification is valued as those from any other accredited university in the world. To this, we can only show our feelings and gratitude by proving to the rest of the world that we truly merited this standard where we are placed right now. Here at the ACM we need to take this privilege and rebuild our association.

Nothing great comes at the blink of an eye but through perseverance and endurance. For five years, UoPeople has worked relentlessly for accreditation and that was no easy task. So, why don’t we learn from here? We already have achieved a lot as a committed team and let’s get our own version of accreditation by bringing our chapter to the limelight since we are at equal standing with the rest of valuable universities in the world.

Fellow members, now is the time and I am sincerely begging on everyone to renew her/his commitment to this noble course we started a short while ago. In my next post, I still provide a summary or a balance sheet of our activities for the year 2013. Provide a road map for current year and am kindly begging while expecting every member to show concern and let’s celebrate our accreditation by taking our chapter another step forward.

Happy Saint Valentine’s Day to everyone and congratulations for being accredited.

Sincerely,

Ateafac S. Forsong.

Congratulations to the UoPeople and congratulations to all of us!

This wouldn't have happened if it weren't for the efforts of all the supporters, partners, and contributors to the brilliant idea that is the University of the People. And, of course, we must not forget Pres. Shai Reshef who was bold enough to come forward with the idea of a tuition-free online university.

We can only be very grateful.

So, thank you so much.

In the matter of our very own ACM student chapter, I must admit that I've been wondering why there hasn't been any mail in the group. I was beginning to think that everyone has moved on to a different list. It would have been fine if the case were so. Apparently not.

So, in the light of the accreditation of the UoPeople, we students must step up higher as well.

Please, all of us needs must work together to get this chapter established.

I know all I can do now is contribute to this by mail. While I don't like it, living in the shadow of Haiyan has kept me from doing a lot of things. While I want to fully commit to this effort, I can't. But not all of us were hit by Haiyan so I am hoping that you guys can get back.

Thank you.

I would like to commed Ateafac for his continued enthusiasm towards this effort. Keep up the good work!

Sincerely,
Joan Advincula

Thank you so much Joan,

There are no true words to describe this great achievement by our university. I wish that our chapter can accompany this progress by making progress by making progress in the chapter.

I have always admired your enthusiasm for our ACM right from the beginning and I truely want our chapter to become active like all the other chapters we've seen.

I can understand the challenges you're facing after the Haiyan disaster but remember that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Our continuous support to you though many would been actively supporting you right now if our chapter was active but remember that we all support you.

Thank you for commending me and I am very determined to move us to the next step. I have a series of strategies will enable us do so and in my subsequent postings, I will expand more on these strategies.

Once again congratulations to all who made UoPeople's accreditation possible. Thanks also to you for responding to this message despite your current internet situation.

Ateafac.

I have few words to add to the sincere and like-minded thoughts above.
I will help the group in any material way I can.
We will need direction for action items and then will need to act on them.

Apologies for being so brief in light of such beautifully written letters.

Hi Angela,

Thanks alot and as you can see,  we are trying to regain strength. Regaining dynamism and so good you are available and offering to do more.

We must respect everyone's time disposal and like I said in one of the threads. Just comments of one or two lines is enough to keep the group running, a good motivation for the rest of the group. We cherish your few lines of words, don't worry about that.

Thanks so much,
Ateafac .
