Hey team,

I have some general questions and hoping someone might be able to answer.

QUESTION: When I am running http_simple.yaml with latency, i notice that port 0 rx_ok results stop while port 1 continues to increment. port 1 will eventually stop as well. both port's tx_ok continue to increment until the test ends. can anyone explain this behavior, is it expected?

im still banging my head against a wall. to add more, i am noticing that i always seem to be getting input errors (ierrors) on at least one (sometimes both) ports 0 and 1.

when the test is done, i also see latency-any-error : ERROR.

i tried with -k 10. when i do this, the rx_ok column on latency stats does not increment at all.

it seems very alarming that Total-Rx seems to drop off so much.

i'll continue to post with more findings. if anyone can assist, it would be much appreciated.

Hi Marc,
I think it is related to link going up/down at startup. 
you can add `` -w  10`` it might help I350 are known to have this issues. 
You can use the interactive modes (ASTF/STL) to verify that (you load the server once)

Thanks for the reply Hanoh, ``-w 10`` did not help on my initial attempts. I still see a few ierrors on both ports. After about 49 seconds Total-Rx drops significantly (from around 1.2 Mbps to 2.4 Kbps). with latency stats, rx_ok is still stopping around the same time.


When i switch over to ASTF Interactive mode, it seems to be yielding desired results. Is there any downside of using this over the "normal" mode? So far, I've noticed that interactive mode doesnt print stats at the end of the test. is there a way to do this?

It is not a TRex issue, it is your DUT issue 
You said it yourself that TRex works fine in loopback right?

could it be a protocol initialisation running on the ports your are connecting trex to? e.g. spanning tree
