Hello everyone!

I have installed a raspberry pi recording power consumption of my house and I need to send periodically the data to a server located in an external network. Since I am not an IT expert, I started installing tmate to get remote access from the external network to remotely configure the raspberry pi (Raspbian operative system). It works perfectly unless the device is turned off and then I loose connection. I have tried using tmate as a daemon to automatically run tmate and securely share the access links but it is not working. I am getting stuck after applying the command:

"tmate -S /tmp/tmate.sock wait tmate-ready # Blocks until the SSH connection is established"

I am following the steps described on the tmate webpage installing tmate, establishing the password and then running tmate as a daemon. Am I doing something wrong? Am I missing some code?

Many thanks!

Hello :)

I'm not sure what's the issue, but that's a usecase that would be easy to support in tmate3 (probably ready in 6months).
