Hi everyone,

as per Scott's request around using tobibeer/inc for tab-contents,
I did some updates and provided support for that.

It now provides a tab-template leveraging the macro { , aka "tb-inc":

Unfortunately, as of 5.1.10 the TiddlyWiki core
does not provide a default template for tab contents.
I therefore created a new issue for this:

#2236 implement core templates
https://github.com/Jermolene/TiddlyWiki5/issues/2236

Anyhow, to be able to use tobibeer/inc with tabs
you will have to modify / overwrite the core tabs macro.
In other words, I did not ship these modifications with tobibeer/inc.

See here for instructions:

Best wishes,

Tobias.

I came here today to say THANKS for this plugin. I write scripts for my podcast (http://www.coiledspring.org/) using TW5, and this plugin is great for assembling the script using boilerplate bits like the intro, credits and so on. I tweaked the styles to make the transclusion much more visible.

Thanks Matthew, appreciated. :-)

Perhaps let us have a peak at a live demo document
that illustrates what you do with it, if that's an option.
Of course, it's fine if it wasn't.

Best wishes,

Tobias.

I'd be happy to do that. I was just trying to set up a tiddlyspot, but the saving isn't working. I've been following the instructions here: http://tiddlywiki.com/#Saving%20on%20TiddlySpot

Hi Matthew,

Try this:

If you get it to work, what was it that didn't work based on:

?

1-4 done, but when I hit save I get "Error:NS_ERROR_DOM_BAD_URI: Access to restricted URI denied"
I read that was a Firefox issue, so I try Chrome.

1-4 done. 5 done. Works!

Thanks Matthew, nice.
I imagined it was a browser issue.

Best wishes,

Tobias.

Hi Tobias,

Does this fix the problem Scott mentioned where changing $:/core/macros/tabs. causes the following in the info panel?
  • Only the most basic fields (caption, tag, and title) get listed under fields.  (Look at a plugin tiddler for comparison.)
  • Tagging, References, List, and Listed all show as empty (even if they're not for the current tiddler).
  • Advanced displays information about $:/core/ui/TiddlerInfo/Advanced rather than the current tiddler.
Thanks!

Andrew

I'm sorry. A little bit at loss here.
No idea what precisely you'd be referring to.
Anything I can reproduce somehow?

Addendum

Ok, I imagine you were referring to this thread:

Did you see my reply above?
Fwiw, that pull request isn't part of the core just yet.

Best wishes,

Tobias.

There were also some issues with the way the infopanel rendered when using inc with tabs:

(I posted a new comment over there with my own low-tech solution for navigating between tabsets and their constituent tiddlers.)
