Hi,

I'm happy to announce the release of my very first plugin for TW5 : a simple calendar plugin.

Here is the home page. Be careful, it's an alpha version, and the doc is still incomplete.

I'm a beginner for all that plugin stuff (and for tiddlyspot too) so please forgive my clumsiness ! Thanks for Andreas Hahn for his tinka plugin.

Any feedback welcome.

TW5 is really an amazing application Thanks for this wonderful tool !

Hi FrD,

Can I add your wiki to the collection of indexed content for the CommunitySearch wiki please?

Regards,
Erwan

Hi FrD, thanks for this. I'd really like to use it but it's not working with the latest version of TW5.

Using the call:

<<datePicker field:"date">>

- gives me an input box,
- click on the box pops up a nice calendar
    - moving through the calendar works, and the cursor changes to a pointing hand on the month-scroll buttons
    - hovering over any day # does not change the cursor, leaves it as a bar. In your demo site, it does change properly
- clicking on a date closes the calendar
- the input box stays empty

Any help would be amazing! Thank you!

Great work

It pass my usual test: works fine on mobile. Also seems very configurable and usable. Maybe I can ask for a more responsive design, but no one here (except a few) cares about that.
But, watch what do you have opened when you save your wiki to tiddlyspot. It is very weird to have opened by default the More tab, which is very long. Specially annoying on mobile.

Hi David,

The problem may come from the config tiddler. You have to use the 'linkFormat' value for the cell content
So if you have inside this JSON tiddler the following,
"cellContent": "basic",
replace it with
"cellContent": "linkFormat",

By the way I'm working on a new version of yhe calendar (including the datePicker). It will be cleaner and with an UI for defining styles for days an special days.

Hope this helps !

Hi FrD,

Nice plugin but I have a problem when I want to display it in the sidebar.

I tagged a tiddler Calendar, containing `<<calendar>`, with $:/tags/SideBar.
The calender displays, I can click a day and a 'missing journal tidller' is created. But the navigation buttons for month and year don't react.

I got it working by transclusion:

Created a tiddler Calendar1, tagged with $:/tags/SideBar and containing `{{Calendar}}` (the Calendar tiddler from above containing `<<calendar>`, but without the tag $:/tags/SideBar)

Cheers,

Ton

Hi Ton,

You're right. You need to use a transclusion.
I believe it has to do with the currentVariable not been defined in the sideBar.

Strange... "cellContent" is already set to "linkFormat", and calling {{datepicker}} which has <<datepicker field:"duedate">> doesn't do anything different.

Any last thoughts? I'm not in a rush, so can wait for your next version - although I'd be happy to try an early release!

Thanks,
David.

Hi David,

It's strange that "cellContent" is set to "linkFormat" and at the same time you still have the cursor as a bar. I can't figure out why. You shoul have links inside the cells ...

Perhaps you could send or put on Dropbox a version of your TW without any personnal info. I could have a look.

Regards

FrD
