Feb (Special Guests) Casting Church

Hey everyone,

We will be holding our Monthly Casting Church at
Fletchers Boathouse on Sunday February 9th 8am to 11am.

For those of you who don't know, Casting Church is free and designed to help members hone their casting skills , or introduce people to the sport altogether. Some of the most experienced instructors volunteer their time each month!

Whether your a very experienced caster looking to take your casting to the next level , or its your first time out, we've got room for you. We meet at Fletcher's Boat House in D.C at the back of the lower parking lot.

Any instructors out there who would be willing to help are most welcome! Beginners are always welcome. Don't worry If you don't have a rod I always have a few extra.

As an added bonus this month, we've got Andy Manley In attendance as a guest instructor!

Andy is a CI and one of the area best casting instructors. Andy has the best roll cast Ive ever seen of any fly angler.

Also in attendance will be none other the Terry Cummings AKA Grandpa Shad! Terry taught me to shad fish years ago, and has been at this game for longer than I've been alive!

Andy and a couple of his student instructors who are studying for their CI exams will be their to help put some fresh eyes to your loops!

Lets come out and show these Guys some support!

Great Casting Church today everyone!

We had 8 instructors and 24 students show up despite the cold weather.

I want to give a shout out our Guest Instructors for all the insight, and for taking the time to drive all the way across town and stand in the frigid cold in the interest of tight loops!

Yes, it was a watershed day for me--having so much great advice saying the same thing in different ways finally led to a personal breakthrough, and I may actually be mistaken for a fly caster (some day, from a distance).
