How’s the trout fishing at Holmes Run around this time of year?

I’ve new in the area but heard ppl catch trout there. Just wondering what everyone’s opinion is.

Hit or miss. Supposed to stock spring and fall, but it is either not always posted (haven't seen anything this fall yet) or does not happen. I think most folks would advise hitting better trout water out of the area but I've always enjoyed getting a line wet there in a bind.

Water is very low there now since we havent had much rain. When they stock it is ok fishing for about 36 hours. After that all the trout have been poached or died from the low water quality.  Info on stocking from DGIF is hit or miss, probably becasue they know about the poachers and dont want to advertise.

It may be better to hit it next week after the rain but after the water drops since it is pretty nasty with sewage after the rain. I work from home and wouldnt mind taking you out there and showing some decent spots after the levels rise.
