Pretty sudden rise in the Little Falls gauge? Obviously must have been some weather up North. I was out near Carderock yesterday and clarity was great.

Anyone get out this morning to see what the color has done with the rising levels? Hoping to fish tomorrow afternoon....and hoping the levels go down soon! For those of you who have the ability to watch the river closely, are there ever any cases where non-local rainfall causes levels and turbility to rise without affecting the color very much?

River was muddy at Jones Point Park today. A lot of wind was whipping it up too.

Ugh, feel like this has happened just in the time for the weekend too many times over the past few months!

Jack,

The rise and murky water color is the result of headwater rains three days ago.  It was well forecasted and did not hurt the bite in the Fletcher's Cove area this morning. All though we had to work for it.

Nice fish. Looks like prediction shows levels decreasing starting tonight. Guess we will see what happens with the color.
