Since you’re on this Thinkwalks email list, you know about these anniversary walks:
I’ve been doing a series of Thinkwalks for the 50th anniversary of the Planet Drum Foundation. All have filled quickly. However, the one this weekend, Sunday from 10am to 1pm, had a few cancellations. First-RSVP basis. If you want to reserve, please reply to me *and* Judy Goldhaft (i.e., Reply All minus the googlegroup).
Judy runs Planet Drum. Your RSVP will get you the meeting spot info.
Kindly do not attend without reserving and do not reserve without attending!
Sunday, September 17 at 10 am for a walk down Glen Canyon, ending near the Glen Park Community Center. A small part of the walk will be muddy, so I don't suggest wearing your high heels or gleamers!
• 3 hrs, easy terrain
• Start above Noe Valley, end at Glen Park BART
• Topics: bedrock springs & creeks, SF watersheds, willow & plant fiber technology, daylighting, urban infrastructure and groundwater
Judy says:
It’s Planet Drum Foundation's 50th year of helping people understand the places where they live....Where are we? & What are we going to do about it?
There is no charge for the walk, but if you feel moved to give Joel a tip, he won't refuse it.
Looking forward to seeing you Sunday!
For the anniversary, there will also be a natural history slide show by Greg Gaar on Sept. 22 at 518 Valencia, San Francisco, 7:30pm.
