[Gm Notes]

Time:  early afternoon

[Aspects]

Guards are confused.

Field of debris

[Narrative]

Nymh heads for the second to last wagon, trying to trick the Guards.  “Guard the front, Guard the front”, he yells.  The guards turn their attention to the wagons in the front of the caravan, but don’t actually head in that direction, focusing on the combat in front of them.

At the same time, Feathel waggles his fingers, and tries to create a wolf-sound audible only to the horses on the 3rd wagon.   The horse bolts, running wildly.  It makes a sudden turn to the right, and the heavy wagon turns, and teeters, before tipping over.  The contents of the  wagon spills, as boxes smash and tumble across the path of the fourth and fifth wagon.

The half-orc moves to the wagon, looking to help the injured, but the other guard starts to scan the area.  He spots the non-goblin in the distance and aims an arrow at him, winging the made on the shoulder, but not seriously.

The front two wagons keep moving, pulling away from the scene of danger, but the priestess of Sune leaps off the wagon, and starts to move to the back of the line.

The goblins swarm the wagons, mostly ineffectually.  One manages to climb into the back of the last wagon, and starts fighting with the Halfling cook, who swings at it with a large wooden ladle.

[OOC]

 [Notes]

Greg, Bear invoked the ‘Blind in one eye’ aspect against you, which means you get an additional FP.

Ed, as far as you know, Nymh has not been spotted.

Remember – you can retroactively choose to spend a FP to improve rolls by 2, or re-roll.  It’s a good idea to state conditions if you want to do this, just to speed it along.  You both tied, which means you succeed, but at some cost.

 [Rolls]

Nymh [Deceive] +1 +1 vs 2 = Tie [Boost]  Aspect [Guards are confused]

Feathil [Transmutation] +3 -1 = 2 vs 2 Tie

Bear [Shoot] +3 -3 vs 0 = tie [Invoke Aspect = re-roll]

Bear [Shoot Reroll] +3 -2 = +1 vs 0 = +1

Nymh FP : 4

Feathil  FP 5

Feathil. 5 of 14 (no -).  Stress = 1

If it looks like he could drive the wagon away, Nymh would.  Otherwise, will move to grab the crate, or signal any nearby goblins to grab it.  While he covered the retreat.

You can likely do that but, to your knowledge, there is still a driver at the front.  Also, you have a river on one side of you, a large caravan path, and then hills and forrest land.  So, essentially, you'd have to follow the path back to the south, or risk getting stuck in the hills/forrest.

BTW - I picked up Dujinni as a mapping tool which seems pretty cool, but has a bit of a learning curve.  I'm working on it :)

That works fine. For me.

Will swing onto the wagon calling out:  "GO!GO!  There are more of them coming! We must protect the cargo!"

Will use a point to add to his persuading the driver of imminent doom.

If it works, will get rid of the driver in a round or two.

Feathil notices that the target is close to being acquired and
relishes the chaos the goblins are creating. He summons a wall of fire
to spring up between the caravan defenders and Nymh.

OOC:
Not sure how possible this is given the layout, but the idea is to try
and give Nymh as much cover as possible. Evocation +4, spending FP.

If attacked (and surely, he will), can I spend a FP on defense? If so,
he will. The defense could be magically manipulated leaves and
branches (protection +2).

I've got a map (more or less).   Greg, the red line is where i see the wall of fire, assuming it is cast.

The rest should be self explanatory.  Feathil is the mage looking person, close to the trees.  Nymh is the one close to the 3rd wagon.  The humans that all look alike are NPCs (drivers and the like).  The 3 main other characaters are Bear,. the half-orc, and the priestess.  You can zoom in to see.

The first version of this file was 10 MB.  Now it's 5.  I have to figure out a way to keep the sizes small.

I'm not sure if that helps Nymh or not (hard to tell), but that was
the intention :-)

Just fine.  Back to my original plan of shouldering the crate and moving to the tree line.

I had dundjini a while back, don't really remember if I liked it or
not. Try exporting as PNG, that might reduce the size. It looks like a
high-res jpg which can get YUUUUUGE!!

That was my intent and intended as. Question, as it hasn't been cast - so let me know where you'd put it.

Ed seems happy with the placement, so it works for me.

I'm good to go.

Part of me will miss the idea of riding away, waving at them from the back of their own wagon, but trying to slink away seems the safer bet.
