Problems with recent update for TASSEL 5.0 for windows

Hi all,

Is there anyone come across this problem with recent updates for TASSEL5.0?

I have used TASSEL 5.0 just fine until the recent updates. Ever since my attempt for the updates, I cannot even open the software.

New install didn't fix the problem. I have removed the whole software and reinstall it. My java version is the version recommended.

I just have no idea what else I can try more to fix the problem.

If anyone could give me some instruction for the issue, I would really appreciate it.

I didn't get any error message because I couldn't even open the software.

It is like the software is dead so that even if I click it nothing pops up.

Can tell me exactly how you installed Tassel 5? And how you are running it?

Can you find and send me the Tassel5.log file in the installation directory?

I just downloaded TASSEL 5.0 for windows 64 bit from http://www.maizegenetics.net/#!tassel/c17q9.

Once I click the icon, I cannot even uninstall it. To uninstall it, I have to restart the computer because for some reason uninstaller recognized the software is running.

Did you try the "Tassel 5 (Lower Memory)" option?

How can I do that?

If you could give me some more details about where to find it or how to install it, that would be really nice.

Try installing Tassel5.0 as Administrator by right clicking the installer.
