I want to use taskwarrior on two different devices.

The documentation of taskserver says: ... But if you wish to share tasks between several clients, the Taskserver is the only option that properly syncs data....

My question is: Could I not simply use syncthing to sync the ~/.task directory between two devices?

No. You said it yourself, “Taskserver is the only option that properly syncs data”.

No, I didn't. The documentation said it is the only option.

I also found a man page `task-sync` which gives 3 possibilities: VCS, syncing or Taskserver

For syncing there is given one weakess

Weaknesses:
- Tasks are not properly merged

I would like to understand what could happen here. If I work either on one device or the other (not the same time on both) then I think merging shouldn't be a problem.

Or did I overlook anything?

Thanks, Manfred
