Hi,
Does anyone know if it is possible to re-lable column titles and adjust column width on the Taiga scrum board?  For example I'd like "New" to be labelled "Input Queue".  And, it would be good if the width of this column could accommodate 2 or more tasks side-by-side instead of stacked as this causes the scrum board to be taller than it is wide when there are a lot of tasks in the New column (e.g. at the start of a sprint) and so doesn't fit well on a screen even if it is large (I have an a thunderbolt screen).
Thanks,
Craig.

Hi Craig,

There is two "kanban" boards, the sprint taskboard (which is a kanban
of the sprint) in a scrum project, and the "kanban" in a kanban
project.

The kanban in a kanban project, manage "user stories" and you can
change the name of the columns (and remove or add new) from the admin
panel, "Custom Attributes" section, changing the US Statuses.

The sprint taskboard, manage "tasks" in user stories, and you can
change the name of the columns (and remove or add new) from the admin
panel, "Custom Attributes" section, changing the Task Statuses.

The current layout of the columns is one "post-it" per line, you can
compact the "post-it" using the buttons in the column title, but you
can't change the width of the column, or have multiple "post-it" per
line in the same column.

Regards.

Hi Jesús,
Thank you for your reply - it is good to know that it is possible to configure the columns on the sprint task board.

It is a shame that it is currently not possible to configure the column width so as to accommodate more tasks side-by-side (as would happen with a physical board), but maybe "currently" is the operative word and that might change.

Thanks again for your help.

Craig.

Hi,

We have been using Taiga for three weeks now and it is pretty awesome! So thank you guys!

However, we are having the same "problem" as Craig with not having the possibilty to set custom width of the columns in the sprint board and not being able to have tasks side-by-side.

We are using a 4K TV during our daily scrums and Taiga is only using a small portion of the width of the screen. Some kind of "smarter" UI layout or the possibility to set width manually would be fantastic!

Thanks!

Thanks Henrik and Craig,

I think it could be a good idea that you can customize the width, I'm adding it right now as a possible enhancement for Taiga, the development team will study it to check if it can be included in Taiga core.

I think it would be great, if all the columns would fit the screen width.
So you could collapse currently unneeded columns, resulting in all the other columns get wider.
If you uncollapse columns, all the other ones would get smaller.

This combined with a minimum width for colums, so that they overlap, if there are too many of them would be awesome.

Wider columns would also mean narrower post-it's, so more of them would fit vertically on the screen.

Just my 2 ct.

Kind regards,

Baedfisch.

OK, maybe I'm being particularly dense today but I can't find any of this.

I go to the sprint taskboard but admin just takes me to a general setup, nothing about managing tasks in user stories. There is a custom attributes but it just creates new attributes. I can't find anything that would let me rename, add and remove columns or change the workflow.

In Admin > Attributes > Status:

- US Statuses are related to kanban columns.
- Task Statuses are related to Sprint taksboard columns.

Aha! Thanks David, I was being somewhat dense.

Is there any way to change the workflow? IE you can change a task from new to in-progress but not to ready-for-test.

There is not a workflow, you can move a task from one column to any other one. And you can reorder the states in the admin panel to have the most common jumps between columns closer.
