Dear SymPy team,

I am writing in response to the note on the SymPy website inviting users to share projects that make use of SymPy so that they can be included in the “Projects using SymPy” list.

I would like to let you know about Haarpy, a Python library for the symbolic calculation of Weingarten functions and related averages of matrix ensembles under their Haar measure. These include the classical compact groups (orthogonal, unitary, and symplectic), their associated circular ensembles, and the group of permutation matrices.

The library relies on SymPy as its only dependency, which it uses extensively for symbolic manipulation. If appropriate, Haarpy’s developing team would be glad to see it included in the list of projects using SymPy. The project repository is available here: https://github.com/polyquantique/haarpy

Thank you for your work on SymPy and for maintaining such a valuable tool.

Kind regards,
Yanic Cardin

Hi Yanic,

Haarpy looks very interesting. I'll take more of a look later.

Yes, if you would like to add Haarpy to the list of projects using
SymPy then I think you could just open a pull request. I just merged a
similar PR:
https://github.com/sympy/sympy.github.com/pull/160
