Issues connecting to local Neo4j Database

Happy New Year everyone.

I'm new to structr, running 3.6.2 installed from the .deb package two days ago and trying to connect to a neo4j community server running 4.2.1

The database connection is not completing in the config with the following error:

I know that the connection info, username, and password are correct, since I can reach them using the cypher shell from the same host.

After enabling debug logs I can see the following in the structr.log

I've looked through stack overflow and saw messages from several years back about issues creating the initial user, however I don't know what I should try next.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi George,

Structr 3.6 does not yet support Neo4j 4.x, that's why you cannot connect.

Please try the latest version of Neo4j 3.5.x, that should work.

Downgraded to 3.5.25 and it worked.

Is there somewhere in the docs where the database version requirement is listed?

Hi George,

the "Configuration" chapter at https://docs.structr.com/docs/configuration#troubleshooting has a small section about connection issues with Neo4j Desktop, but the actual requirement is not listed anywhere in the docs. I will do something about that in the next couple of days, so thank you for pointing it out!
