Hi. I am wanting to back up all my mail from an email account which I am planning to cancel. I haven’t got the faintest idea how to do this - but I have been told by my ISP (?) that when / if I cancel the account all of my mail will vanish. Which of course I don’t want. I have retired and no longer need to send / receive emails from this address BUT I want to keep the emails which I already have as reference if needed. ANY advice will be most welcome! Thanks.

Do you have another email account you want to continue using? If it’s an IMAP account you can just Apple Mail to drag & drop the contents of the inbox/sent mailboxes, then drag & drop any additional mailboxes onto the other email account’s list of mailboxes to upload them.

Thanks Sam.

I have managed to transfer all of the inbox to another account. Such a great solution!
