2026 Schedule

- Union Reservoir

Things were moved around a bit. Example: Bell Tower on the spring daylight savings change since they don’t open until 8:30. Plus the usual changes around Easter (Apr 5 in 2026).

Labor day weekend is later than usual putting the boot dinner on Aug 30. There have been several suggestions for a venue: going back to Gardnerville, the Sierra Pines Resort (https://www.sierrapinesresort.com/), or keeping it where it is which may be more likely to keep the old timers that no longer ride with us visiting.

Typo:

Oops. Duarte’s doesn’t open until 8:30. The Bell Tower opens at 8. That still means not having to leave as early on daylight savings time morning.

I guess you didn’t look at the schedule. And apparently you don’t know the full name of the restaurant you are thinking about. “jims” is “Jim’s Country Style” in Sunol. We don’t go there any more. “homestyle” is “Jim’s Homestyle Diner” in Alameda.

There was a list of repeat visits to restaurants. I didn't see Jim's on it. I checked the schedule, Jims 2x. All good

For those confused by this statement:

The boot dinner is the weekend before Labor Day weekend. I’m pretty sure it’s always been that way.

I would propose we schedule the trip to Union Reservoir for the 2 nights following the July 12th visit to Min's in Concord. Maybe even three if folks would be interested?

For folks looking for a Minden/Gardenerville trip, what date do you want to go? What's the rough schedule? There one day, overnight, back to the Bay Area again the next?

I think that's the bare minimum to get something on the calendar.

Aug 8 and 9 return on 1 0th. Thats a sat and sunday however we can also do it mid week for retirees.
