Pick a date for SG debrief

Happy New Year!

In efforts of starting a separate and new thread, let’s find a date to get together for a debrief of our 2024 Simbang Gabi events; parol workshops and mass celebration/ salu- salo!

Mercy, suggested a potluck after the 11 am mass at either campus. If at St Therese, we can look into gathering at the parish center. If at St Joseph’s, what are our options?

Montoyas are free to gather on 1/12 and 1/26. We are hosting hospitality on 1/19.

Please respond with your availability and what dish you might bring.

The Okadas are tentative for 1/12 and 1/26. Probability for me to attend is better on 1/12 as I can find rides for Adeline for her events that day.

Thanks, Jen, for this new thread. At St. Joe’s there’s the Arrupe Room or Mother Teresa Room (smaller area) and we need to coordinate with staff on north campus for availability.

So it’s looking like a member of the SG kapamilya is hosting on 1/19 and 1/26. Are folks willing to meet after the social hour?

Also are we okay to look at February dates to see if we can all be there? Just playing around with dates.

I”m not available the first Sunday in February. Also the last Sunday in February, we are having a joint parish family mass at St. Joe’s - unsure of time of mass, just fyi.

Jen, if you are hosting hospitality for 1/19, let’s talk since it’ll be Dr. King holiday Sunday and Debra Tinsley is preaching in both masses. And I have a question to ask you - maybe I’ll ee you tomorrow in church and we can talk then.

Just saw in the bulletin on Jan 19 after each mass families are encouraged to bring a favorite dish from childhood or your most delicious family recipe to share.

In that case, I’ll make some Pancit!

We may need to look at February dates as January poses some conflicts if we are looking to have a gathering after 11 am mass. If we hold it 1/26- Josie/ Roger may not be able to fully be present as they attend to hospitality duties. 

1/12- Morales out of town

1/19- Montoyas hosting hospitality, MLK Comfort food potluck

1/26- Morales hosting hospitality

Montoyas are available 2/2, 2/9, 2/16 and 2/23

I’m able to meet 2/9, 2/16 and 2/23. 

FYI - 2/23 will be a joint parish family mass at St. Joe’s, I’m spacing out on the time of mass. 

Jen M - just curious if you were able to look at the space at St. Joe’s.

Mercy-I didn’t have a chance to view any spaces at St Joe’s last week. Seeing as Father Phil and Deacon Steve will be presiding at the 11:00 am mass that morning at St Therese, shall we gather there? Hoping the parish center is available.
