Hello,

I am a new Selenium user and I was wondering if/how it's possible to take, for example, the name and title of a LinkedIn user (from a LinkedIn page) and store these in 2 separate cells in a Google Spreadsheet.

I am familiar with the StoreText function and the 'echo' function, but I would like to store text and place it in specific locations within a google spreadsheet (or excel if thats not possible.)

Thank you for your help,

Graham

Hi Graham,
Take the xpath , getattrtbute()  value or gettext() of the user , and take the title by getTitle() after than you can you File operations in java to paste the value in different cells.

putting values in a spreadsheet has nothing to do with selenium

and I think Ashish meant to say take the locator and do a .getText or getAttributeValue it doesn't just have to be xPath
