How to locate elements in Chrome

Hi All,

    Needed an Urgent help.

    My web application is in chrome and can u please tell me how to locate elements in Chrome.

    In Firefox we use Firebug, do we have similar plugin for Chrome Browser.

    Please if anyone have used or tried, Please provide information on it and also the download links for the same.

Hi Chaitanya,

You can right click on the element and inspect it which will give you the html detials abt the element...
to locate the element as you might be knowing you have to develop any element locator technique such as XPath or CSS etc...

to verify the developed Xpath/CSS is rite....you have a chrome xpath/css checker extenson available which u can download..
also from the chrome console you can write $x("your xpath") and then enter .... it will show the element from the page if the locator is correct

You can press F12, It is same with firebug on Chrome Browser.

You can also try one click xpath. search on google

As for as i know you cant have better and unique locators such as xpath,id, etc etc in any other browser but for forefox..
