Can't LOGIN to Squil ...

Team,

Can't login to SQUIL.

I have two instances of a standalone Security Onion systems and am not able to login to the SGUIL web interface.

A username and password are being requested by https://sfo-ids-01.xxx.com:3154. The site says: "restricted area"

Sguil

Log into Sguil using the username/password you created in the Setup wizard.

No matter what I do I still can't seem to login with the setup username and password.

Is there someway I can work around this by changing the password ?

Hi John,

Your initial email asked about the "SGUIL web interface", but then
included a link to "https://sfo-ids-01.xxx.com:3154" which is actually
the ELSA web interface.

You should be able to login to the following interfaces using the
username/password that you specified in the Security Onion Setup
wizard (NOT the Ubuntu OS installer):
- Sguil client (tcl/tk not web interface)
- Squert web interface
- ELSA web interface

Did you follow the Installation guide?
https://code.google.com/p/security-onion/wiki/Installation

Did you run through the Ubuntu OS installer, then reboot into your new
installation, then run through the Security Onion Setup wizard? In
that Setup wizard, you would have specified a username/password that
you can then use to log into the interfaces specified above.

Can you please explain how the login issue was resolved? I'm having the same problem, and no login error or feedback.

Instead of resurrecting old threads from 2014, please start a new thread and provide detailed information about how you installed and configured Security Onion and what exactly you are seeing or not seeing.
