deciding on the best schedule for weekly meetings going forward.

# Statement supporting BLM and reaffirming our commitment to social justice
The world is a hectic place right now. All of the organizers agreed at
this week's meeting that we want to put together a statement ASAP. We
are targeting this **FRIDAY, June 12th**. Please help with the
drafting process here:

# Hallway Track Brainstorming
One of the primary reasons we attend (and organize) conferences is to
meetup and share ideas with friends, old and new. With the move to a
virtual venue, this has been a consistent struggle. SeaGL is first and
foremost, a community conference. I feel that making the Hallway Track
a first class citizen should be one of our highest priorities. With
this in mind, please help brainstorm what we are going to do for 2020
here:

# Committee Chairs Wanted
The hunt to fill all of our committee chairs continues. If you (or
someone you can nudge) is interested, please reach out! The
expectation is that you make, or send along an update to, each of our
(soon to be) weekly meetings. Aside from that, I am gathering further
descriptions of each and can answer most questions that may arise.
Here are the areas we are explicitly seeking more help for:
- Website & Technical
- Finance & Fundraising
- Promotion & Outreach
- Logistics & On"Site"
- Attendee Party & Hallway Track

# SeaGL 2020 Organizer Mailinglist
Finally, there was a request at our most recent meeting to create a
mailinglist just for SeaGL 2020 organizing. I've gone ahead and done
this! Everyone with an @
seagl.org email should automagically be
subscribed, but if you don't have one of those and/or would like to
receive emails with another address, please go here to join:
-
https://groups.google.com/a/seagl.org/d/forum/seagl2020
Anyone who is a member of the list can post by sending messages to
seag...@seagl.org

Whew, that was a big one. Thank you so much for making it this far!
If you have any questions, comments, thoughts, or feedback, please let
me know via email, etherpad, or another channel.
Talk to everyone soon!
